I have loved reading since childhood, when my mom would take us to the local library. In my early twenties, work and life filled the space where books used to be.
Finding books again
While I was on maternity leave with my son, sleep was hard to come by. My husband encouraged me to return to the library, and I pulled out a Thriller for those long nights. It helped me find a part of myself I had missed.

From one surprise to a shelf full of them
A few years later, The Secret Shelf was born. I wanted to create the feeling of discovering an unexpected favorite and pair it with little comforts that make reading time feel special.
Today I balance the shop with family life and my full-time work as a local insurance agent. Every bundle is a small invitation to slow down, unwrap a surprise and stay awhile.
